Having built a relationship with GPE and D&B contractor Interaction whilst working on The Hickman building, we were appointed to provide Project Management and Employer’s agent services for the fit-out of three floors at 54 Woolyard. This new addition to GPE’s Fully Managed office space was designed to complement the existing fabric of the building. Designed to provide space for three separate occupiers, each floor has been created to include kitchen and breakout areas. Existing terraces have been upgraded, bringing them back into use for future occupiers. A strong emphasis was placed on the re-use and repurposing of materials on site, including the refurbishment of the existing AC system and the repurposing of exiting lighting. Redundant joinery features were also dismantled on site and reused as features throughout the space. Additions also included the use of reclaimed furniture and accessories. These measures contributed to the scheme achieving SKA Gold. A new app-based access control system has been introduced to enable contactless entry via the Sesame app. |
