HUSH were involved in the development of a new sixth form centre to accommodate a 10% increase in number of sixth form pupils starting in September 2015. Works included feasibility, design, planning and construction. Due to the time restraints, the most efficient option was to provide new classrooms and sixth form study spaces on the roof of the existing sports hall. We worked closely with the school and managed the design process (RIBA 1-4) through to a planning submission to Westminster City Council. We then proceeded through a two stage tender period completing the project in August 2015. The school obtained Government (Education Funding Agency) funding through the Academies Capital Maintenance Funding for 50% of the overall Project cost. We also obtained funding for additional sustainable features for the development such as PVs. |
