HUSH acted as project manager and contract administrator, responsible for enhancing GPE’s existing asset at 45 Mortimer Street delivering a scope of occupier amenity improvement works including the Cat A fit-out of a vacant floor, upgraded end of trip facilities, creating a new outside ground floor terrace facility from a previously unutilised external space and new reception facilities with smart technology upgrades.
The project brief and design ethos focussed on re-use, retaining the existing raised floor and reception finishes. Brilliant interior design provided by Conran effortlessly mixed re-used stone and timber with new materials to transform the previous lifeless reception to provide a welcoming and inviting entrance together with new collaboration and working zones including new coffee facilities. The new 3rd Floor Cat A has achieved SKA Gold rating and is WELL enabled.
To support GPE’s smart building technology, lift destination control works were implemented to the existing lifts which streamlined security and access throughout the building.
Managing the construction phasing and sequencing to implement the works whilst the building remained occupied through-out and maintaining access through the existing entrance were the challenges HUSH overcame to deliver an exceptional project.
