Appointed as Project Manager and Contract Administrator to deliver the imaginative wholesale refurbishment of this excellent example of post-modern architecture by Michael Hopkins.

The scheme, completed in March 2024, involved the wholesale strip-out of the interior and complete fit out to a new landlords CAT A standard. ​

The vertical extension created an additional 6,000 sq ft floor, with panoramic views, and the construction of an adjacent single storey ‘pavilion’ building set the standard for the rest of the park.

The building incorporated many ESG features such as the reuse of raised access floor, extensive power generation via sympathetically places photovoltaic panels, triple glazing to the elements, enhanced cycle parking and the reuse and repurpose of existing steel. The design has enabled over 10 tonnes of existing steel to be reused saving over 17 tonnes of carbon. The building was also targeting BREEAM Excellent.

The scheme was part of a phased wider strategy for the repositioning of the Bedfont Lakes park following the client’s acquisition in 2021.
